Q: Can a cathedral (gabled) sunroom roof be installed on the pitched side of our home's roof?
A: Absolutely!  If you want your room to blend with your home - we can build a conventional roof with 2x6 or 2x8 construction (depending) on whether you choose 3-season or all season)  At this point, we insulate the ceiling with an R-19 to R-40.  You can choose from vinyl bead board or possibly a wood ceiling. There is also an insulated roof system that is used if you don't want to customize the interior ceiling.

Q: What about electrical outlets, ceiling fans & lights?
A: It's all included and U.L. approved.  The best part is you are not limited to having your outlets in between the windows in a bulky 4" or 6" vertical raceway.  That dramatically cuts down on your window sizes.

Q: Will we be able to utilize our sunroom in the winter months?
A: Only if is a true All Season Room !  We can not stress enough how inportant it is to ask about the structure, framework, types of windows, etc.  Aluminum conducts cold - if it is 20 degrees outside, it transfers through to the inside.  That is why it is detrimental for you to make sure your new sunroom has vinyl framed windows - like you would have installed in your home.  Also make sure it has a 1" commercial thermal break in all the channels.

Q: Do we have to have a permit?
A: Definitely - its certainly peace of mind for you.  This way the contractor should comply with all codes required.  Our thought is - we want to make it convenient for you, so we apply for all permits and we schedule the inspections at different phases of your project.

Q: What does an average sunroom cost?
A: The cost of a pre-engineered sunroom system is extremely variable, depending on model (e.g., 3-season or all season), size, panel type, labor rates in your area, site preparation (deck, foundation, etc.) and other options.  It is difficult, therefore, to give an "average" price.  One thing can be said, however, with certainty--a pre-engineered system will probably cost you far less than one conventionally built.

Q: What is the difference between a sunroom and a patio enclosure?
A: The terms "sunroom" and "patio enclosure" are, in fact, synonymous.  These terms describe living spaces that are transitional with the out-of-doors.  They are casual living spaces where you have the comforts of home together with an outdoor, relaxed feeling.

Q: What sizes are available?
A: The beauty of this is, it's all custom!  You are not restricted by certain size windows like alot of others.
